Wetland City Network adopts logo

Members of the Wetland City Network (WCN) agreed to adopt a logo to help promote the network and the Wetland City label. During the Inaugural Roundtable of Wetland City Mayors held in October 2019, the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Korea volunteered to develop logo designs to be selected by network members. The selected logo symbolizes the shape of a waterbird, a human and the letter “R” representing the Ramsar Convention. It demonstrates harmony in clean water, ecosystems and humans. The word “wetland city” embedded in the image uses characters that resemble a combination of city infrastructure such as buildings and also element of a wetland ecosystem such as waterbirds. The Ramsar Regional Center – East Asia (RRC-EA) will facilitate the dissemination of the logo as WCN Secretariat.
